What happens next
A straightforward MOT visit, from start to finish
Our Peterborough team explains the appointment and the outcome clearly. Any repair work is discussed and agreed separately before it begins.
Confirm your MOT booking
We agree a suitable date, confirm the vehicle details and explain drop-off or waiting arrangements. Please tell us about any known faults before the visit.
Carry out the MOT inspection
The MOT checks the specified safety and environmental standards. It is not a service or a guarantee that the vehicle will remain roadworthy until the next test.
Understand your MOT result
We explain any advisories or failure items. Where repairs are needed, we discuss a quote and the relevant retest arrangements so you can decide what happens next.
Before we begin
A little clarity.
Then a conversation.

Explore all our FAQsHow much does an MOT cost?
We confirm the current MOT fee when we agree your appointment. Send your registration and preferred dates using the booking form and our team will confirm vehicle suitability, availability and the fee before you travel. Any additional diagnostic or repair work is quoted separately.
Am I booking a confirmed appointment here?
No. This form sends a request. Your appointment is confirmed when our team agrees the date, time and vehicle details with you.
Can you test my car or van?
We provide MOT testing for eligible Class 4 vehicles. Please send your registration and model, especially for a van, so we can confirm suitability. Not every van falls within Class 4.
Explore MOT testingWhat should I prepare before we speak?
Have your registration, contact details and preferred dates ready. Mention any faults, warning lights or additional work you want us to consider. Tell us whether you need to wait or arrange a later collection.
Can I send photographs of my vehicle?
Yes. Send damage or warning-light photographs to contact@peterboroughmotstation.com with your name and registration. An inspection may still be needed before any repair can be quoted.
Email our garage teamDo I bring the vehicle to your garage?
MOT testing takes place at our garage. Please confirm your drop-off or waiting arrangements when booking. If your vehicle cannot be driven safely, contact us to discuss recovery rather than driving it to the test.
Which areas do you cover?
Our garage is at Unit 4, Saville Road, Peterborough, PE3 7PR. We welcome motorists from Peterborough and nearby areas, including Hampton, Werrington, Orton, Stanground and Yaxley.
How soon will I hear back?
Our team will respond after reviewing the request. Book ahead of your MOT expiry date where possible, and do not assume that a same-day slot is available until we have confirmed it.
