Van interior protection
The inside of a working van needs to cope with tools, equipment and repeated loading.
Peterborough MOT Station supplies and fits van ply lining for tradespeople, couriers and local businesses. We fit plywood panels to floors, walls and wheel arches, with the layout discussed around your van and the work it needs to do.
Neatly fitted lining helps protect exposed surfaces from everyday knocks, scratches and wear. We focus on practical panel fitting and a tidy finish rather than treating different van sizes and layouts as interchangeable. Send the make, model, wheelbase and roof height so we can discuss the right starting point.

What the lining can include
The specification depends on the vehicle and intended use. We discuss the areas to be lined and any existing fittings before confirming the work.

Side panels help protect the load area from contact with tools and equipment. Wheel arch boxing and suitable bulkhead panel work can also be discussed as part of the installation.
Tell us about shelving, racking, storage or other fittings already in the van. Optional requirements, including non-slip floor finishes or shelving, can be discussed before the specification is agreed.
Before we fit the lining
Vans can differ in wheelbase, roof height, door arrangement and interior fittings even within the same model range. Your registration is useful, but please also describe the van and send photographs of its current load area where possible.
We discuss the areas to be lined, materials, existing fittings and preparation before work begins. Different panel and floor thicknesses are available; the appropriate choice is confirmed for your installation rather than assumed from a generic kit.
Ply lining is surface protection, not a substitute for correctly securing loads or observing your van’s permitted payload.
Preparing the load area
Before your appointment, agree what needs to be removed from the van and whether any existing lining or fittings need attention. An empty, accessible load area helps the team carry out the agreed work.
Let us know about visible rust, damage or dampness rather than covering it up. Lining is not a cure for existing corrosion or a guarantee against future damage.
Local trades and businesses
Our Peterborough garage also offers eligible Class 4 MOT testing, mechanical repairs and diagnostics. Discuss any other work your van needs when arranging the lining so we can consider suitable workshop arrangements.
We welcome enquiries from Peterborough, Werrington, Hampton, Orton, Stanground, Yaxley and surrounding areas. The work is arranged through our team at Unit 4, Saville Road, PE3 7PR.
